Without our incredible Team Members, we would NOT be able to coordinate such an exciting event! Thank you for taking the time to consider helping us at the sale!
Team members who work 3 hours will receive a 65% profit and shop for the pre-sale Thursday, April 29, 2021, from 4 pm - 8 pm.
Team Members who work 6 hours will receive a 70% profit and get to shop the pre-sale Thursday, April 29, 2021, 4 pm - 8 pm.
Team Members who work breakdown Sunday, May 2, 2021, 1:30 pm - 7:30 pm or 2 pm - 8 pm (full 6 hours, this shift only ) will have their consignor fee ($10) waived.
Team Members may not participate if they or a member of their household are experiencing Covid symptoms. Please communicate with Westmoreland Sale for Kids /Lisa if you/family member has been tested for Covid. If test results are negative and cleared for work, you may resume your participation with Westmoreland Sale for Kids.
NEW 2021
1 shift = 3 hour
Team Members will only be credited for hours scheduled under a single registered consignor number for a higher profit percentage. No hours will be combined for multiple consignor numbers.
If a registered consignor has a family member who will be working hours towards earning a higher percentage of profit for them, they must be signed under the registered consignor number. Please use the consignor homepage to sign up for a shift. Once the shift is selected, please email info@saleforkids.com to let Lisa know who will be covering the shift, for the consignor to receive credit for that shift.
If 2 people from the same family will be working the same shift, you must contact Lisa for approval and instructions on how to sign up.
Pre-sale passes will be per person working the hours and be verified off of Team Member worksheets.
Team members are asked to sign up for at least one 3-hour shift. Some shifts:
-Help with set-up (requires some heavy lifting, setting up of tables and racks)
-Help with checking in items and placing them on the proper racks, tables
-Check the quality of items for stains, tears, wear
-Help sanitize items according to the law
-Monitor sales floor; maintain the organization of items
-Help with customer service during the sale
-Monitor fitting rooms and reattach tags as things come out of the fitting rooms
-Help at checkouts taking tags off items and counting items for cashier
-Breakdown (sort items back to consignor number, break down tables and racks, help pack up donates)
-Help maintain a safe environment for shopper and volunteers
-Security monitor: monitor doors, check for receipts, monitor shoppers and fellow workers
If you have any physical issues that would make these activities difficult for you, we have other tasks available.

We ask that team member refrain from dropping off your items during the shift you chose to work. Please allow time to drop off your items before or after your shift(s). Thank you. The shift you sign up for is to assist consignors who drop off items; you cannot do this if you are putting your things back instead. Dropping off your items does not count as part of volunteering.
Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Dress for the weather as our buildings are not heated or cooled. We will provide you with a name tag to wear.
Small snacks (crackers, chips, candy, and fruit) and drinks (water) will be available to team members during their shifts in a designated area.
Set-Up: This position is more for someone who likes to help assemble the clothing racks, set-up the sales floor and.
Inventory Check-In: Help consignors place their items in the correct place during drop off.
Cashier: This position is for someone with experience using a computer and working in a fast pace environment. This person will be helping the customers with their purchase, scanning tags, and handling money. If you would like to register please contact Lisa before the sale. They must be trained by Lisa for this position. This can be a seated position!
Tagger: You will work with the register person by cutting tags from items being purchased and counting to make sure all tags are removed from the items, bagging items, and keeping the line moving. It will also help in returning clothing that was tried on in the fitting room to the floor when lines are not busy.
Changing room Attendant: This person will assist with the fitting rooms, keeping track of what rooms are available, and re-tagging and pinning clothing to return to the floor
Runner/Floater: helping out wherever help is needed. Help with keeping items off the floor and picking up things that have fallen. Also, will be helping to return items to the racks from the changing rooms when not purchased.
Breakdown: after the sale closes, this is a fast-paced environment:
Team Members will be helping sort unsold items by donates and consignor resort number for them to pick-Up,
Team Members during breakdown also help with dismantling clothing racks, help with loading the trucks, help pack donated items, and help with building clean up.
